How It Works
🏆 What is Each Way Betting?
An each way bet is actually TWO separate bets: one for the selection to win, and one for it to place (finish in the top positions). You pay double the stake, but you get paid if your selection wins OR places.
Example: A £10 each way bet costs £20 total (£10 win + £10 place). If your selection places but doesn't win, you get the place part paid at 1/4 or 1/5 of the win odds.

⛳ Best Sports for Each Way Betting
- •Golf: Majors and tournaments often have enhanced place terms (extra places)
- •Tennis: Grand Slam outrights with "reach the final" place terms
- •Football: Tournament winners or league winners with top 4 place terms
- •Horse Racing: (Though we focus on other sports here)
💡 Pro Tips
- •Extra places: Look for enhanced place terms (e.g., "Top 8 instead of Top 5 paid")
- •Liquidity: Check both win AND place markets have sufficient liquidity on the exchange
- •Qualifying loss: Each way bets typically have slightly higher qualifying loss than win-only
- •Dead heat rules: Be aware of dead heat rules if multiple selections tie for a place
⚠️ Important Notes
- •Remember you're placing TWO lay bets on the exchange (win market + place market)
- •Place market odds on exchanges may differ from calculated 1/4 or 1/5 of win odds
- •Check if the event has started - some bookmakers remove place terms once underway
- •Your total liability is the sum of both win and place lay liabilities
